Passed away on November 22, 2017 at the age of 88. Born in Buffalo, NY on July 24, 1929 to the late George and Mary Gryta; predeceased by her brothers Matthew and Walter Gyrta. She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Joseph Palgutt, her brother James Gryta; and sisters-in-laws Ann Bilica and Irene Brunner and her three children, Kevin Palgutt, Larry Palgutt and Pamela (Palgutt) DiNardo; her eight grandchildren, Susan (Palgutt) Carter, John Palgutt, Marietta (Palgutt) Groh, Caroline Palgutt, Joseph Palgutt, Andrea Palgutt, Nicholas DiNardo, and Zackery Palgutt; great-grandchildren Kiera Carter, Bryce Cater, and Bernadette Groh. She worked various jobs, including a lone time with the Sweet Home School Central Kitchen as an assistant cook. After retirement and 56 years in Buffalo/Tonawanda, NY she moved with her husband to New Port Richey, Florida where she became active with the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and various clubs. A visitation will be held Monday, November 27, 2017 from 5-8 pm at Morgan Funeral Home, 6025 Trouble Creek Road, New Port Richey, Florida 34653. www.morganfuneralhome.com. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 28 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 8320 Old County Road 54, New Port Richey, Florida. Internment will be Thursday, November 30 at Florida National Veterans Cemetery, Hernando County, Bushnell, Florida. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a contribution to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
