Lema E. Bobe, 95 years old, passed away quietly on Saturday, June 20, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Ernest H. Bobe. Lema was the love loving mother of Diane L. Lupia (Eugene) and Mattie Elaine Switzer (James). Her grandchildren are Peter Lupia (Elizabeth), Christopher Lupia (Suzanne), Julie Snyder (Dan), and Kristie Switzer (Dennis Hamilton). Her great-grandchildren are Olivia and Ellis Lupia; Leopold Lupia; Abiligail and Davis Snyder; and Dylan Hamilton. In the early 1950’s the Bobes’ moved to Colorado Springs, CO making their home there for 20 years. Lema was the owner and operator of the Little Dears Preschool. She was known as “mom” to the many USAFA cadets the family hosted for many years. She was Volunteer of the Year many times. Her joys came from being with/helping young people and assisting those in need. The Bobes’ moved back to Florida in 1971 residing in Gulf Harbors, New Port Richey for more than 30 years. Lema’s favorite past times became boating, fishing and bingo. She proudly displayed fishing trophies she won in local tournaments. In her later years Lema lived with her daughters in Tampa and Wesley Chapel enjoying her time with friends and family whenever possible. A funeral mass will be held at All Saints Catholic Church, 2801 Curlew Road, Clearwater, FL 33761, on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Lifepath Hospice, 12470 Telecom Drive, Suite 300, Temple Terrace, Florida 33637.
