She is survived by four children: Ivan Knee of Lothian, MD; Debra Moore of Murrells Inlet, SC; Juliette Clark of Annapolis, MD; and Jacqueline Thames of Valrico, FL; step children Kimberly Carter, William Stefan; one brother, Richard C. Mandley of Annapolis, MD; and 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Juanita Mandley Botor was born in Washington, DC to Charles Edward and Audrey May Mandley. She was part of the first graduating class of Wheaton High School in Maryland where she excelled in drama and theater. "Nita" was a caring generous person who worked as a school nurse and medical assistant during her career, where she brought her loving smile and giving spirit to all those who worked with her. She shared all she had with her family and people in need. Juanita loved and was very proud of her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. After her last husband passed away, she spent the last fourteen happy years in Murrells Inlet to be with her dear and close friends, Earl & Rita Chester, and John & Nancy Allen of Murrells Inlet, SC, who were a great support for her while she lived in Murrells Inlet. Nita was active in her church, St. Michael Catholic Church at 542 Cypress Avenue, Murrells Inlet, SC. She was the former chairperson for the Grief & Loss Support Ministry where she put her baking skills and empathetic nature to beneficial use in helping members recover through the loss of a spouse. Juanita also served the parish with prayer shawls and Eucharist for many homebound patients. She was a great servant of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Nita loved food and cooking, movies, bingo, live entertainment, and a good joke. She had a beautiful voice and loved music. She will be missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name are being accepted at her parish: www.saintmichaelsc.net . -"Cast Your burdens upon the LORD, and He will sustain you" -Psalm 55:22 (Julie) -"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty." - Psalm 91 (Debra) -"Good Morning" Thank you Momma for everything!
