Elizabeth Krivo Scarfo Bruessel

d. February 7, 1965

Elizabeth Krivo Scarfo Bruessel, daughter of Frank Krivo & Diane Chryssanthis Krivo, was born February 7, 1965 in Albany, New York. She graduated from Mount Vernon High School in Mt. Vernon, Iowa in 1983. She then attended Iowa Wesleyan College on a music scholarship. She transferred to and graduated from St. Leo University, San Antonio, Florida in 1987. Elizabeth began her career at AT&T Paradyne in Largo, Florida following graduation. In 1992, she married Joseph Scarfo and had two children, Joseph Xerxes Scarfo and Sophia Trinity Scarfo. The marriage ended in divorce. In 206 she married Joel Bruessel in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She moved back to Florida in 2013. Elizabeth had a liver transplant at Tampa General Hospital in 2015. In the following years, she enjoyed working retail in Tarpon Springs. Elizabeth is predeceased by her sister, Anne Krivo Klein, and father, Frank Krivo and is survived by her mother, Diane Krivo, brother, George Krivo and wife, Karen, children, Joseph and Sophia Scarfo, Uncle Jim Chryssanthis, nephews Tom Klein and wife Amy, Chrystopher Klein and wife Lea, nieces Kassandra and Victoria Krivo. Elizabeth made an honorable decision to donate her body for medical research in the area of auto immune liver disease so that others may benefit such findings. A funeral mass will be held and a date TBD at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mt. Vernon, Iowa. Internment will be in the family plot at Mount Vernon Cemetery.
