Hinton, Irene

Passed on August 11, 2017, she is survived by her husband, Bruce, and children, Susan of Alaska, Thomas of New Port Richey and stepson, Vincent of Georgia. Additionally, she is survived by a niece, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Before she was married, Irene, was a model and TV dancer. Later, she became director of one of the three top health spas in the world which the famous Gabor family were partners to. Jolie Gabor always used to call her “Lovely Irene” and she certainly used to turn heads driving her huge gold Oldsmobile Starfire with the roof down and her blonde hair billowing out. That lady who tried to jaywalk in front of her, and almost lost her life three times in the process, as Irene circled the block looking for a parking space, can finally safely rest now.
She retired to Florida at a young age, met Bruce, fifteen years her junior, fell in love and married. They enjoyed 46 years of togetherness, more than a decade of those years spent in their seaside home in Mexico Beach.
She particularly enjoyed bingo on Tuesdays and Fridays at the Regency Park Civic Center, of course shopping and leaves behind her mini-pin “Heidi”.
Cremation will be at Morgan Funeral Home and a service will be held at a later time. In lieu of
flowers, a donation may be made in her name to the Lighthouse for the Blind.
