Meryle Sue Petit, 61, of New Port Richey, FL, passed away on April 1, 2018.  She is survived by her son, Keith Barker, daughters, Andie Karr, Cristy Barker and Samantha Petit, brother, Martin Merrill, sister, Meme Hogue and significant other, Bob.

Stamison, Ann Marie

Ann Marie Stamison (Sager, Gaffney) was born March 26, 1934 in New York, NY, to the late Kathryn Rivers and George Sager. A graduate of Bergenfield High School (NJ) and Holy Name Hospital School of Nursing (Teaneck, NJ) with an RN, she worked at both NY Presbyterian Hospital and Rutgers University, and spent her early adulthood in New York and New Jersey raising her family. After relocating to Florida, she worked at HCA Community Hospital in New Port Richey from 1975-2003, 18 years of which she spent as the Head Nurse of the telemetry unit. 

Ann grew up loving the beach, enjoyed music, reading, playing cards with her friends, and playing the piano. She was a member of the NPR Junior Service League, the Red Hat Society, and Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church.

Ann died peacefully in her home on Saturday, March 31, surrounded by her loving family. She is predeceased by her husband George Stamison, son Stephen Gaffney, infant daughter Teresa Gaffney, brother Evan Sager, and longtime sweetheart Ray Gorman. She is survived by her children James and wife Becky Gaffney, Tom and wife Kay Gaffney, Kathryn Gaffney, Patricia and husband Ferdia Burke, and grandchildren Matthew, Elisabeth, and Esmerylda, along with nieces Karyn and Kate Seibel, sister-in-law Patty Sager, niece and nephew Penny and Pat Hajduk, and beloved friend and partner in crime June Rodopoulos.

Stamison, Ann M.

Ann M. Stamison, 84 of New Port Richey, passed away on March 31, 2018.  She is survived by her sons, James and Thomas Gaffney, daughters, Kathryn Gaffney and Patricia Burke and 3 grandchildren.  Visitation will be held at Morgan Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 3rd from 6:00-8:00 p.m.  Mass will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 4th at 10:00 a.m.

Podsiad, Helga Ruth

Helga Ruth Podsiad, 89 of New Port Richey, FL passed away on March 29, 2018 at Orchard Ridge Nursing Home.

Born in Germany where she lived until she moved to England and Canada before coming  to The United States in 1961. Prior to her retirement, she worked at Singer Kearfott, Woodland Park, NJ. She then moved to Florida in 1984 when her husband retired.  She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Stanislaw, in 1991.

While in Florida, she enjoyed knitting and playing cards and going to bingo.

Helga is survived by her four loving children, Carmen Vivino and her husband, John (Jack) of Wayne, NJ; Sylvia Innocent and her husband, Anthony  of Totowa, NJ; Lydia Gialanella of Williams Township, PA, and Michael Podsiad and his wife, Karen of Plant City, FL.

Also surviving are 12 grandchildren:  Diane  (Brent) Ireland; Lorraine (Brian) Nassan; John (Christine) Vivino; Claudia Innocent; Denise (Scott) Charles; Claire Innocent; Vincent (Lucia) Innocent; Nicholas (Victoria) Gialanella; Alex Gialanella; Megan Podsiad; Kevin Podsiad and Kristin Podsiad.

In addition, surviving are 14 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Morgan Funeral Home on Friday, April 6th from 9:00-10:00 a.m. and Mass will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church on Friday, April 6th at 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund (JDRF) or St. Jude’s Research Hospital would be appreciated.

Hicks, Joseph Douglas

Joseph Douglas Hicks passed away on March 6, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on July 10, 1942 to Joseph and Goldie Hicks in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Joseph was predeceased in death by his wife of 42 years, Marcia Hicks.   He is survived by his children Debbie and Chad,  grand-children Alyssa, Sarina and Gavin.  Joseph was also devoted to his supportive, loving and special friend, Bonnie.   Joseph had many caring people in his life and he was very generous and never hesitated to help a friend.  Joseph was one-of-a kind and heaven has received another incredible angel.  He will be forever missed, but we have faith that we will all meet again in our forever Heaven home.  We will be holding Joseph’s “Celebration of Life” on Saturday March 24, 2018 starting at 2pm, at his daughter’s home located at 8551 Linebrook Dr., Trinity Fl 34655.  Everyone that has known and loved Joseph is welcome to come and remember his beautiful life.  RIP Joseph, your family and friends love and miss you beyond words…until we ALL meet again.  Hospice helped Joseph and the family during his final days and we will be forever grateful.  Contributions can be made in memory of Joseph Hicks to Gulfside Hospice or any Hospice of choice.

Bradley, Lt. Col. Woodrow, Jr.

Lt. Col. Woodrow Bradley, Jr. (Ret)  “Woody”, 60 of Spring Hill, Florida passed away on February 17, 2018 from complications of ALS.

He is survived by his wife, Beth, sons, Jason, Jeremiah (Rachel), Justin (Jessica), daughter, Brandy (Stacy), brother, Mark, mother-in-law, Claudia Barga, sisters-in-law Treva Vazquez and Melissa Kirkman, 2 grands and 1 great-grandchild, and all extended family and friends.  A special thank you to the Ordnance Program Division for all their help.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018 at Morgan Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 4923 Darlington Road, Holiday, at Kingdom Life Church. Officiated by Rev. Dawn E. Jones.

Oglesby, Ronald “Dean”

Ronald “Dean” Oglesby of Decatur, IL, born April 18, 1963 passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at 12:30 a.m. in his home in Port Richey, FL.  He was surrounded by family.  He is preceded in death by his sister, Rhonda Stubbs and brother, Jerry Oglesby, and numerous others.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Phyllis and Robert Jackson, father, Ronnie Oglesby, brother, Phillip Oglesby, sister, Christina Oglesby, step-sister and brother, Amy Poore and Robert Jackson, Jr.  He leaves his daughter, Heather Bolerjack and sons, Land and Lexx Lucas.

Survived grandchildren are names Hannah and Laura Bolderjack, Tucker Phillips, Lily and Nova Lucas, Logan and Landon Lucas.

Nieces and nephews, Herbert Stubbs, Jr., Krystal Stubbs, David Reed, Jr., Stephenie Oglesby, Damien Burger and Dustin Oglesby.

Waychowsky, Robert P.

Robert P. Waychowsky, 70, of New Port Richey, passed away on February 11th, 2018.  He is survived by his significant other, Phyllis Wilburn, daughter, Nicole Waychowsky, brothers, John and Michael and 4 grandchildren.  Memorial Service will be held at Morgan Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, Feb. 17th at 1:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made to or checks can be mailed to Kidney Cancer Association, 9450 SW Gemini Drive #38269, Beaverton, OR, 97008-7105.

Feeney, Charles A.

Charles A. Feeney, 89 of Port Richey, passed away on February 10, 2018.  Mr. Feeney is survived by sons, Stephen, Charles and Thomas, daughter, Deborah Mulligan, sister, Margaret Castiglia, 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb. 15th from 2-6 p.m.  Mass will be held on Friday, Feb. 16th at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
